To ensure the health and safety of the Safari Niagara community, our best physical distancing practices have been put in place. We are increasing cleaning of high-touch surfaces, sanitation and hand washing stations, posting social distancing signage and screening staff before they come to work.

For our activities and attractions, we have limited the number of guests allowed to participate at this time, implemented scheduled sanitation practices between guest use and have increased social distancing measures before, during and after the activities. In addition, we have implemented time-ticketed entry with a one-way directional flow to limit guest capacity. We encourage all guests to adhere to the Phase 3 recommendations set in place by the Province of Ontario.

Keep Your Distance
All guests are encouraged to stay 6 feet apart from each other. This is indicated throughout the park with distancing signage, and ground stickers at gathering areas. We have also implemented spaced seating at picnic tables.

Mask Protocol
Masks are mandatory in the retail shop, at all Keeper Talks, Budgies, Petting Zoo, on the Giraffe Deck and the Gator Express Tram. Please bring your own mask if you wish to participate in these activities, or purchase one at the park for $1. Masks are available for purchase at admission, the Gift Shop, on the Giraffe Deck and the Red Parrot Food Truck.
Children under 2 years old are required to wear a mask on the Giraffe Deck.

Family Washrooms
Not only have we increased our washroom cleaning schedule, we have implemented a strict “One Family at a Time” washroom policy.

Wellness Check
Please stay home if you or a member of your family is not feeling well. We are screening all of our employees before they come to work to help stop the spread. Keep an eye out for our Wellness Check signage at our park entrance.

Gator Express Tram
Masks ARE required if you wish to ride the Gator Express Tram. We have also limited the number of guests permitted on the Tram, to allow for proper social distancing practices, and are sanitizing the Tram between all rides.

Hand Washing Stations
Our team has installed hand washing stations and hand sanitizer units throughout the park. All guests are encouraged to wash their hands often, for 20 seconds at a time.

Splash Pad Regulations
Our Splash Pad is operating under additional restrictions and guidelines, put in place by the Province of Ontario. In addition, social distancing is self-monitored and we sanitize the area every 2 hours.

One-Way Traffic
To limit the capacity of our park, and reduce gathering in large groups, we have implemented one-way traffic throughout Safari Niagara. This includes separate entrance and exit rows, directional signage and ground stickers.

Increased Sanitation
For the safety of our guests, employees and animals, we have enhanced our cleaning measures in the park. This includes ALL activities, exhibits, attractions, dining locations, washrooms, Guest Services and the Gift Shop.

Keeper Talks
Masks ARE MANDATORY for all guests to wear when attending our shows. Please bring your own mask if you wish to participate in these activities, or purchase one at the park for $1. Our team is limiting the capacity of guests permitted inside for all shows, enforcing our social distancing protocol and sanitizing the space after each show.

Food Service Protocols
Our food locations are open, and operating with under enhanced sanitation measures. We have created rows, with ground stickers for customers to social distance while ordering food. Our picnic tables are spaced out and regularly cleaned between guests.

We are currently in the third phase of reopening Safari Niagara. We must continue to adhere to all ministry and government guidelines as we move forward in the reopening process of the park. We are doing everything we can to open more facilities and attractions for our valued members and guests while maintaining the health and safety of our community. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time and will continue to post the latest Safari Niagara updates on our website and social media channels. Thank you!
