Waterbuck
Waterbuck are native to southeast Africa, and as their name would suggest they prefer areas that are close to water. They occupy a diverse range of habitats including savannah grasslands, gallery forests and riverine woodlands south of the Sahara. Waterbuck are herbivores, grazing on plant matter around the bodies of water they inhabit. Mainly grazers, they consume coarse grasses and on occasion will browse for leaves from certain trees in times of drought, and on occasion have been observed eating marula fruit.
