World Rhino Day

World Rhino Day is on September 22, 2017. Safari Niagara has decided to celebrate World Rhino Day on September 23, 2017.

World Rhino Day celebrates all five species of rhino: Black, white, greater one-horned, Sumatran and Javan rhinos. World Rhino Day has grown to become a global phenomenon, uniting zoos, cause-related organizations, businesses, and concerned individuals from nearly every corner of the world!

The following will be happening at Safari Niagara on this day:

  • Donation Tent will be set up at the Rhino Exhibit
  • Rhino Cookies for Sale at the Rhino Tent for $2.00/cookie
  • A percentage of Safari Niagara gate sales from Saturday, September 23 will be donated to International Rhino Foundation
  • $1.00 from every Rhino Dog purchased from the Rowdy Rhino will be donated to International Rhino Foundation
  • Customer Donations will be accepted and 100% of donations will go to International Rhino Foundation
  • Donations made at the Rhino Tent for $100.00 or more will receive a special gift
  • All persons who donate of any nomination will receive a ballot to enter to win the following: Behind the Scenes Rhino Tour for 6 people, 2018 season membership for 4 people, FREE Sabari (Indian Rhino) feeding for up to 4 people
  • Fun games such as Rhino Ring Toss or Bean Bag Toss (3 throws for $5.00)
  • Silent Auction – Ballots will be sold to win some great prizes! All proceeds go to International Rhino Foundation ($2.00 each or 3 for $5.00)
